"You are not here merely to make a living.
You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply,
with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement.
You are here to enrich the world,
and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand."
Woodrow Wilson

Everyone at Reho Travel understands what a privilege it is to work for a company and in an industry that provides us with unlimited opportunities for personal and career development. It is essential for our own advancement that we travel widely to gain the experience and it is through seeing the world that we come to understand how lucky we all are.
rehope encompasses many of the individuals and charities that we support around the world. A percentage of profits each year goes towards causes that are chosen to complement our Travel with Kidz and Reho Study Tour brands or causes that have affected the families of our team or clients personally.
Through Oxfam and World Vision we sponsor children in Myanmar, Guatemala, Vietnam and Chad. In Malawi we are helping Alick (the creator of our Christmas cards) through University and ultimately a degree in fine arts and also paying for his younger brother to attend high school.
rehope also supports the Cancer Council, Genes for Genes and the recent Art in Motion fundraiser for the Oliva Newton John foundation.
rehope is currently working on a project called Creating a 2nd Life for the 3rd World which ultimately hopes to help provide opportunities for the developing world to learn from the mistakes of the so-called developed world and find more environmentally sustainable methods of creating a better life for everybody.

Alick Masiya Banda is a second year university student at the University of Malawi, Mzuzu campus. He is studying cartography and is the first member of his family to attend high school, let alone university. He lives with his brother, sister, their partner's and their four young children. They all do their bit to support this typical Malawian family unit. His father died "many years ago", his mother lives in a village further down the lake. Alick is a talented student who sells his artwork from the roadside in Malawi. At 21 he is one of the few old people you see in the streets, with half the population under 15 and an average life expectancy of 34. Alick clearly reflects his country, full of hope, tentatively taking small steps onto the world stage but in need of support and encouragement from those with more experience. It is with this in mind that we have chosen to support Alick with his university fees, in particular a much needed laptop, by commissioning him to design greeting cards. Now he is off the street and also studying art at University. As you can see his work displays a significant talent and a unique style, as it is a reminder of our place in the world in 2009.

Update from...
Mzuzu Campus
Many people find it terribly difficult to get loan from the Banks. The banks do demand collateral that the local people can’t afford. Most of the Banks are located in the major cities which makes it difficult for people who live in rural areas to get an access to them. In Nkhata-bay for instance, we only have one Bank serving the whole region, a region of more than half a million people imagine!!
