My family and I were booked at the Twin Waters for 3 nights over Christmas. First impression of the resort was that it looked fantastic but having arrived at 11am and told check in was at 2pm , we literally had to wait until 230pm to get our room. They offered to keep our luggage but this is difficult as kids want to swim and you have no costumes , dry clothes , towels etc.

We eventually got to our rooms which were basic with 2 double beds. They only had the local TV stations and not even a child only channel. (sometimes you need that for a rainy day).

My sister and family stayed at the resort at the same time as us but stayed in a bigger room which basically had a lounge and kitchen area with a fold out sofa. This was called a King Suite.

The resort is pretty large and not too sure how many people it holds but it was extremely busy and I was surprised to see that they had such a small swimming pool for such a large number of guests.

They do have a man made lagoon with beach sand and kayaking, catamaran, sailing, beach volleyball, archery and rowing boats for use for all guests. This is offered free of charge. They also offer hire of cricket equipment, soccer balls and bucket and spades for the smaller kids.
There is a bike track around the resort, which is about 1.4kms, and you can hire a bike and ride around the resort. (bike hire is free for kids only).

Every afternoon they offer Pelican Feeding and on every other day, you can join in the circus training where you can learn to do all tricks on trampolines and trapeze acts.

The furniture in the breakfast room was very tired and needs replacing but breakfast were still very good with a nice selection. Room service is very limited to Pizza and would have to wait 45 minutes to come!!

The choice of restaurants is quite limited and not too much of a selection for kids and rather pricy at $28.50 for lunch and $44.00 for dinner.

I would recommend you fly into Sunshine Coast Airport as it is only a 5 minute drive away from the hotel.

Overall impression was okay for the price, great for the kids but suggest you get a car and eat out in nearby restaurants!!
