Having travelled to most of the Club Med Destinations in The Asia Pacific region, It was my time to experience our own natural beauty.

Located on the Northern Eastern coast of Australia in the Whitsunday’s, Club Med is a beautiful resort nestled on 690 hectares of World Heritage National Parkland.
To get to Club Med Lindeman, I flew Virgin Blue via Brisbane to Hamilton Island and from there took the launch to Lindeman, which took approximately 35 minutes.

Club Med Lindeman is very different to the Asia Pacific resorts in that it is built up very high and the fit legs are required. The main bar and entertainment area is located opposite a large pool at the front of the Island. Here also is the main buffet restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet style. This is of course free to any Club Med visitor. If you wish to eat al la carte this is also available at Nicholson’s Restaurant located at the very top of the island- get your walking shoes ready!!!!!! Or you could be lazy and opt for the bus that transports you from the reception area to the top of the island where lies the A la Carte restaurant, a 9 hole golf course, 4 tennis courts, a spa retreat, an adult only pool, kids club, gymnasium, archery facilities and a helicopter pad where you can take scenic flights of the Whitsunday’s.

For those who have never travelled to one Club Med, offer an all-inclusive holiday. Once you step foot on the island just about everything is included in the cost of your package. All food, even the A La Carte restaurant, all entertainment, all water sports and all land sports. The only additional expense would be the helicopter flights or spa treatments, which are both, reasonable priced. Even your travel insurance is included in the package, which makes your experience a very relaxed one, as you never have to think about your expenses at the end of the trip.

Club Med Lindeman is extremely popular for families as the G.O staff entertains them all day. The Kids Club is open from 0800 to 2100 daily which is perfect for parents who want to unwind or partake in the sporting activities. In the Kids Club, the children get to mix with a diversity of nationalities, as this is what Club Med attracts. The staff that work there, are from all over the world and many languages are spoken.
The village is also great for Singles as the staff are encouraged to sit with their guests at dinner and also to attend the nightclub etc. Therefore someone travelling on their own will always have somebody to talk to.

A wide variety of sports activities are offered including bungy bounce, flying trapeze and a 9 hole golf course. There is plenty of kayaking facilities, windsurfing and sailing with instruction for every level. If fishing is your thing, there are deep fishing excursions that coast around $85.00 per person.

Club Med offers Petit, Mini and Juniors Clubs catering to kids of all ages, they will have a great time each day with the variety of fun activities created specially for them.

Club Med Lindeman also offers FREE beverages. At lunch and dinner you have the choice of wine or beer and at the main bar and nightclub, all spirits, cocktails, snacks are free of charge. This makes your holiday a very inexpensive one.

I would definitely visit Lindeman Island again as my week there was fun-filled and with plenty to do. If you are elderly or a family, I would suggest requesting the lower ground rooms so that you avoid the stairs. I also love that fact that you can mix with a diversity of nationalities and also meet guests from all over the world.

If you need any further help with Lindeman Island, please do not hesitate in calling me, as I would be more than willing to help.
